GAIN Cash & Carry celebrated the opening of its 60th branch last Friday, stopping crowds with a spectacular procession from Mbare to Telford Road.
The procession started at 8am and included the Police Band, drum majorettes, a dance group and several hundred participants. The ribbon was officially cut at the new premises, 41 Telford Road in Graniteside, by Mr Godwill Nyakwende, followed by live broadcasting by Star FM with Ndumiso and Ola.
Attendees at the event were thoroughly entertained, with many prizes, giveaways and presentations by various GAIN suppliers, including Dairibord, Mazoe, Cairns, Zimgold, Tanganda, National Foods and many more.
Speaking on behalf of GAIN Cash & Carry, Mr Nyakwende said, “GAIN Cash & Carry exists to provide convenience, affordability and a one-stop shopping experience to traders, bakers, institutions, hospitals, mines, hotels, lodges, individual bulk buyers, NGOs and farmers.”
GAIN Cash & Carry was the result of a management buyout of National Foods depots at the end of 2016, and now offers a broader range of products in a more ambient shopping environment to 60 branches throughout Zimbabwe. GAIN is the only wholesaler found in such places as Muzarabani, Neshuro, Binga and the Honde Valley.
GAIN Cash & Carry believes in creating trust and long-term relationships with suppliers and customers alike. They are committed to sourcing locally and buying Zimbabwean and to creating new job opportunities in Zimbabwe.
“Our mission is to create the largest and most preferred wholesale chain in Zimbabwe,” Mr Nyakwende said.
